The Italian group Ferrero, owned by Giovani Ferrero, is in the process of acquiring the factory in southern Timisoara built by real estate developer WDP for Ericsson, but which was no longer occupied by the Swedish group. This is the first major transaction carried out in the industrial-logistics sector in 2026.
Real estate developer WDP completed a project in 2024 with an area of 36,400 square meters, divided into 4 industrial halls and office spaces, located in the southwest of Timisoara, in the Şag area.
Now, Ferrero is in the process of acquiring this industrial project, in a transaction valued at around EUR 30 million. It is also the first major transaction carried out this year in the industrial sector of the real estate market. The project reflects Ferrero’s intention to develop a state-of-the-art industrial unit.
