German DIY retailer Hornbach is investing EUR 70 million in two stores it will open in Cluj-Napoca and Craiova.
The amount is divided equally between the two spaces, with the store in Cluj-Napoca – the second under the Hornbach name in this city – set to be ready in the fall of 2027, and the one in Craiova – in the spring of 2028, where the authorization for the start of construction works, which will begin in early 2027, has recently been obtained.
The new Hornbach store in Cluj-Napoca will be developed within the Urbano Shopping & Living shopping center. The project will be built on a plot of land with a total area of approximately 49,500 sqm. The store will have a sales area of approximately 20,100 sqm.
In Craiova, Hornbach will open a store at the intersection of Decebal Boulevard and Caracal Street. The future store will have a sales area of over 17,000 sqm.
