Telecommunications and consumer electronics distributor Tekpoint has leased approximately 23,175 sqm at FOCUS Logistics Park in Nohra, near Weimar, Germany. The transaction was arranged by REALOGIS Immobilien Deutschland and involves two of the three warehouse units at the recently completed development, delivered by investment manager BGO and Düsseldorf-based PRODAC Industrial Real Estate.
The agreement covers approximately 20,674 sqm of warehouse accommodation, 924 sqm of office and employee facilities, and 1,577 sqm of additional storage space on mezzanine levels. Tekpoint will also have access to 24 car parking spaces and eight spaces for heavy goods vehicles. Legal representation for the property owners was provided by international law firm BCLP.
Located at Grunstedter Weg 7, the logistics complex occupies a site of approximately 55,000 sqm and provides 34,602 sqm of rentable accommodation. The development includes 30,728 sqm of warehouse space, 1,519 sqm of offices and staff facilities, and 2,355 sqm of mezzanine areas. Following the Tekpoint transaction, the remaining warehouse unit, comprising approximately 11,427 sqm, is being marketed to prospective occupiers.
The buildings have been designed for distribution and storage operations, offering an internal clearance of 12.20 metres and floors capable of supporting loads of seven tonnes per square metre. The development also incorporates heat pump heating and flooring constructed to meet German water protection requirements. Its environmental performance has been recognised with DGNB Gold certification.
The park benefits from access to the A4 motorway through the nearby Nohra junction, while the A71 can be reached through the Erfurt motorway interchange. Nohra railway station is approximately 600 metres from the property, and the Erfurt freight transport centre is situated around 11 kilometres away. A DHL freight and mail facility is located on an adjacent site, adding to the area’s established logistics infrastructure.
The transaction brings a substantial proportion of the newly developed accommodation into occupation and establishes Tekpoint as the park’s principal tenant. With approximately one-third of the property’s lettable space still available, BGO and PRODAC will continue marketing the remaining unit to logistics and industrial businesses seeking accommodation in the Erfurt–Weimar region.
