Digital Infrastructure Supplier Takes Entire Almere Distribution Centre

26 October 2026

Garbe Industrial Real Estate Netherlands has leased its entire 32,700 sqm logistics development in Almere, near Amsterdam, to an international company involved in supplying equipment for telecommunications networks, digital infrastructure and data centres. The tenant, which is listed on a stock exchange, has not been identified. The agreement covers the complete property under a long-term arrangement, with financial details and the lease duration remaining confidential.

The distribution centre, known as DC De Vaart, occupies approximately 44,200 sqm of land within Almere’s De Vaart industrial district. The building was originally designed to accommodate up to four separate occupiers, with individual sections measuring approximately 8,000 sqm. Instead, the entire complex will be used by one tenant. The facility provides 12.2 metres of internal height, 32 loading bays and parking for more than 300 vehicles. Its location offers access to the A6, A1 and A27 motorways, connecting Almere with Amsterdam and other Dutch logistics markets.

The development incorporates several environmental and energy-related features, including rooftop solar installations, planted roof sections, LED lighting and electric vehicle charging points. Its structural design also incorporates provisions intended to support the reuse of construction materials. The property has received BREEAM-NL Excellent certification, indicating that it has been assessed against recognised environmental performance criteria. In addition, the building benefits from more than 2 MW of contracted electricity capacity, an increasingly relevant consideration for industrial occupiers requiring dependable power supplies.

The letting demonstrates how companies supporting digital infrastructure can contribute to demand for industrial accommodation beyond the data centre sector itself. Distributors of network equipment and related technology require warehouse facilities to store, process and transport products across regional markets. While the precise operational requirements of the incoming tenant have not been disclosed, the decision to occupy the entire development establishes a single-user distribution location within the Amsterdam metropolitan area.

Industrial Real Estate Partners and Jones Lang LaSalle were involved in arranging the transaction, while NL Real Estate | Knight Frank advised the occupier. With the lease agreement concluded, Garbe Industrial has completed the letting of DC De Vaart. No information has been provided regarding the tenant’s expected occupation date or the number of jobs associated with the facility.
