Burrito Madre Opens first Restaurant in Romania

Fast-casual restaurant chain Burrito Madre, a brand specializing in Mexican-inspired cuisine within the portfolio of the American group Street Guys Hospitality, is entering the Romanian market. The first unit was opened in Mega Mall Bucharest, following an investment of EUR 358.800.

The expansion plan targets the opening of 20 restaurants over the next five years, with target cities including Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Timișoara, Constanța, Brașov, and Ploiești.

Burrito Madre was established in Belgrade in 2014 by Mihailo Subotić and Ivan Iričanin, and it operates 20 units across six cities in Serbia. For 2026, the business estimates revenues of approximately EUR 8.97 million.
