The City Grill restaurant group has budgeted EUR 6.5 million in investments for this year, more than double the amount compared to 2025. The results from the first six months show a 2% increase, below the 10-12% target set for 2026, but the management is counting on a recovery in the second half of the year through new openings.
The group’s founder, Dragoș Petrescu, stated that Romanians can no longer bear further price increases, so the expansion of the network remains the main driver of development. Recent and upcoming projects include an already operational unit within the Constanta Casino, as well as the historic Cerbul Carpatin restaurant in Brașov, with an expected inauguration in October-November 2026. At the same time, the Gambrinus Brewery is expected to open on Ion Brezoianu Street in Bucharest.
The group currently operates a portfolio of approximately 40 units under multiple brands. Some of these are directly owned, while others are under management.
