Israeli real estate developer AFI Properties, owner of Romania’s largest mall, AFI Cotroceni, will complete construction of the second building in the AFI Home North rental apartment complex in the north of the capital this year, delivering 164 new apartments.
The first building, AFI Home North C, with 80 apartments, was completed in April last year. Rents start at EUR 800 per month for a two-room apartment and go up to EUR 3,500 for a four-room apartment. Work on the second block, AFI Home North A, is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year.
AFI Properties generated net operating income of EUR 117 million from Romanian properties in 2025, almost half (EUR 50.5 million) being generated by AFI Palace Cotroceni, the mall maintaining a 100% occupancy rate. The company started 2026 with 251,000 square meters of office and residential projects under construction, including in Romania.
