The Liberty Center mall, transformed into Jumbo Center after the Greek retailer bought it for EUR 20 million in 2023, has new tenants. Two years ago, most of the spaces in the mall were not rented.
In August, BIPA and Penny announced that they would open two new stores within the Jumbo Center in Bucharest, occupying spaces with a cumulative area of approximately 1,870 square meters. The most recent openings are Sinsay, Dr. Max and 18GYM, and at the beginning of September, Hesburger, Numero Uno and Panco also opened here.
Liberty Mall opened in October 2008 and has a leasable area of 25,000 sqm.
In 2012, the mall was taken over by three Greek banks and sold in 2023 to Jumbo.
