Hippocampus GmbH has leased approximately 16,700 sqm at CTPark Solingen as the third-party logistics company consolidates its existing activities and increases its warehousing capacity in Germany. The agreement covers around 16,200 sqm of warehouse space and a further 500 sqm of offices.
The new facility will become a central location for Hippocampus’ warehousing and logistics activities. By bringing operations together at the Solingen property while adding capacity, the company aims to support further growth and improve the efficiency of its logistics network.

For logistics providers specialising in warehousing and distribution, high-performance facilities and strong regional and national transport links are critical. Hippocampus’ decision to consolidate and expand its existing operations at CTPark Solingen underlines the quality and flexibility of the space available,” said Sandra Kraus, Leasing Director at CTP in Germany.
CTPark Solingen provides approximately 26,400 sqm of leasable space on a site covering around 41,000 sqm, meaning the new Hippocampus lease accounts for roughly 63% of the property’s total available area. Built in the 1990s, the complex can accommodate warehousing, distribution and light industrial activities.
The site’s layout reflects its sloping terrain, with warehouse accommodation arranged across two levels. Operational infrastructure includes loading docks with levellers and a pallet conveyor linking the floors, together with parking for cars and trucks. The park is around three kilometres from central Solingen and nine kilometres from the city’s main railway station.
The location provides access to the wider Düsseldorf, Cologne and Wuppertal economic region. Connections to the A3 and A46 motorways support longer-distance distribution, while the B224 and B229 roads provide links across the surrounding area. Public transport is also available within walking distance of the property.
The transaction comes amid increased leasing activity across CTP’s German portfolio. The company says it leased more than 200,000 sqm in Germany during the first eight months of 2026, up 166% from the corresponding period last year and its highest volume recorded for those months. Other recent transactions include a 16,500 sqm lease at CTPark Rostock and a 9,300 sqm expansion by logistics company Heinrich Hoppe GmbH at CTPark Bremen.
