The Romanian real estate group NestPlus, through its NestPlus Plaza division, has signed a 10 million euro investment loan with Exim Banca Românească for the construction of Brăila Plaza, the largest street mall in the city of Brăila, an investment worth a total of EUR 17 million. The completion and occupancy of the commercial spaces are scheduled for 2026.
Brăila Plaza is part of a shopping center of approximately 17,000 sqm, developed in stages on the former Promex industrial platform in northern Brăila, where Kaufland and Lidl recently opened their own stores, and Penny is present in the immediate vicinity. The new gallery, with a leasable area of approximately 9,000 sqm, will complete the complex.
The commercial mix is built around international chains present in Romanian retail — Action, JYSK, Pepco, Sinsay, dm, Dr. Max and TEDI — along with a 18 GYM fitness center and a food court with terraces, with a Burger King in drive-thru format and the Mesopotamia restaurant. Part of the gallery is reserved for local businesses.
