The discount store chain, Action, is opening two new units this month. The two units are located in Sanpetru and Odorheiu Secuiesc, and the inauguration is scheduled for June 25.
Action is already profitable on the local market, after only five months since the opening of the first local store, with sales significantly exceeding the company’s expectations. Since the beginning of the year, Action has also opened stores in Râmnicu-Vâlcea, Alba-Iulia and Drobeta Turnu Severin.
Action opened a record number of 384 new stores in 2025, reaching a total of 3,302 stores in 14 countries at the end of the year, of which 6 stores in Romania and 8 in Switzerland, a market it entered in April.
The Dutch retailer is preparing to launch in two new markets this year, in Croatia and Slovenia.
