The German construction materials producer Knauf Group will officially inaugurate next month, through the company Knauf Insulation, the glass mineral wool factory in Târnăveni, Mureș County, presented as the most modern unit in the field in Central and Eastern Europe.
The new factory involved an investment of EUR 140 million and will ensure an annual production of over 75,000 tons of mineral wool in order to serve both domestic needs and the markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
The German group previously announced that it would invest over EUR 200 million in the construction of two factories in Romania, in Mureș and Cluj. In February, Knauf Group received, through its subsidiary Knauf Gips, the construction permit for the factory in Huedin, Cluj County, an investment of over EUR 75 million.
