Nusco Brings the First Medicana Hospital to Nusco City

14 October 2025

Nusco has signed a partnership with Medicana Health Group to develop a hospital within Nusco City.

With a capacity of approximately 120 beds, the facility will operate as a general hospital, offering all essential medical specialties to meet the needs of patients from Bucharest and across the country.

The first Medicana hospital in Romania will be built on a 4,000 sqm plot and will cover a total area of approximately 22,000 sqm – including 16,000 sqm above ground and 6,000 sqm underground, designated for parking and all specialized medical facilities.

“The Medicana Hospital is a project very close to our hearts at Nusco. We want to bring renowned international operators into the community, just as we did with the Hyatt Hotel. This is how we’ve chosen to open the gateway to Nusco City and position our residential project as a symbol of urban revitalization in Bucharest’s social and business landscape. Quality of life means – above all – caring for ourselves and our loved ones, which is why we are truly delighted to contribute to this major milestone,” states Michele Nusco, CEO of Nusco.

Construction work on the Medicana Hospital will begin at the end of 2026, with the medical facility set to open its doors in late 2028.

“As the lead consultant for this project, I am proud that Fortim Trusted Advisors successfully supported Medicana in entering the Romanian market. Identifying and securing the right location within Nusco City was the result of an extensive process, and we believe it is the ideal place for an operator of this caliber in the medical sector. This transaction demonstrates not only the strong potential of one of Bucharest’s most dynamic growth areas, but also the value of fully dedicated advisory services,” said Nicolae Ciobanu, Managing Partner and Head of Advisory at Fortim Trusted Advisors, a member of the BNP Paribas Real Estate alliance.
