CPI Romania has signed a lease extension for over 12,000 sqm with Deloitte Romania and WPP, two of the main tenants of The Mark office building in Bucharest, which currently has an occupation rate of 99.7%.
Deloitte Romania, one of the leading multidisciplinary professional services firms in the country, has signed a 7-year extension of the lease for the Bucharest office, located in The Mark – Tower, which has a total area of 7,570 sqm and is arranged on 7 floors.
“The five years spent by the Deloitte Romania team in The Mark have shown us that we made the right choice when we decided to move to this state-of-the-art, sustainable and energy-efficient, easily accessible building. We have built here the ideal space to support the development of our teams and skills and to interact with clients”, said Alexandru Reff, Country Managing Partner, Deloitte Romania and Moldova.
WPP Group, a world leader in marketing and communication, has extended the lease for its Romanian office, located in The Mark – Podium, by 5 years.
„CPI Romania has proven to us that it is a reliable partner that meets all our quality standards for the services offered. The Mark building is a space equipped with all the amenities any tenant needs for a modern and efficient workspace. Congratulations to the CPI Romania team for their proven professionalism!”, said Manuela Necula, CEO of Ogilvy & Hogarth Romania.
“We are pleased that Deloitte Romania and WPP, who have been with us since the beginning, have signed the long-term extension of the lease agreements. This is a confirmation of our continuous concern to improve the quality and services offered in the office buildings in our portfolio. The Mark has the BREEAM Excellent certification and the certification process for Access4You is under way, the building being energy efficient, with modern equipment and technologies that offer tenants excellent working conditions”, said Fulga Dinu, Country Manager CPI Romania.
The Mark is a modern office project located in the center of the Capital, which has among its tenants the multinational tech company Infosys, the global law firm Dentons and the company LPP Romania Fashion.
The two transactions were brokered by Knight Frank, which specializes in real estate consulting. “We are pleased to continue our collaboration and we are sure that both tenants are satisfied with the quality of the building they benefit from, in the heart of the CBD. Last year 50% of all office transactions were renegotiations and we expect the same in 2025. Deliveries of office space in 2024 were at a historic low for the last 14 years (only 15,000 sqm), a trend that will continue this year, while companies are actively supporting and promoting office presence, more than in the past years, which will maintain the upward trend of the cost of rent/sq.m, especially in well-established areas,” said Horațiu Florescu, Chairman & CEO Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia.
