XCity The Idol project in Timisoara obtains the Building Permit

Wallberg has obtained the building permit for the first building in XCity The Idol, the second phase of the XCity project.

With an estimated value of EUR 120 million, XCity The Idol represents the second phase of the Xcity residential complex in Timisoara. This development phase consists of 4 residential buildings totaling over 500 apartments and over 3000 sqm of commercial space. Three buildings will have a height regime of 16 floors, and the fourth will have 7 floors. The first authorized apartment building will total a number of 142 apartments, 190 parking spaces and over 400 sqm of commercial space.

The project also foresees the use of ventilated facades and the creation, for the first time in Romania, of a suspended swimming pool built partly of glass.

“Atypical for Timișoara, we are opting for ventilated facades, and, as a first in Romania, we will have The Idol Swimming Pool, completely suspended,” says Cosmin Văduva, Wallberg technical director.
