Concelex, Erbaşu Constructions and Terragaz Build the Second Largest Stadium in Romania

The new “Dan Păltinişanu” stadium in Timişoara, an investment of over EUR 100 million, will be built by the association Concelex – Erbaşu Constructions – Terragaz, the investment being financed by the Timiş County Council and the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration, through the National Investment Company. The old stadium has been demolished. The contract for the construction of the new stadium has been signed.

 

“The future stadium, with a surface area of ​​84,300 square meters, will have 32,000 seats (…) The arena will be approved to UEFA category 4 standards, which will allow hosting the matches of the Timisoara team, but also organizing European and international competitions,” according to the builders.

 

The new stadium will be the second largest stadium in the country, after the National Arena in the capital, which has a capacity of 57,000 seats.
