Belgian real estate developer Atenor has announced the sale of the @Expo office building (57,666 sqm) in Bucharest to a private real estate investment company that intends to hold the asset for the long term.
The @Expo building was developed by Atenor and completed in 2023, achieving BREEAM “Outstanding” and WELL “Platinum” certifications. The building currently has an occupancy rate of only 29%.
With the sale of @Expo and the completion of the commercialization of the UpSite residential project, also in Bucharest, Atenor is ceasing its activities in Romania. The Belgian company says the decision is part of a process to simplify the group’s structures and will generate savings in operational costs.
