George and Zoe Ghiuri family, owners of Rasova Winery, intend to expand their business on the banks of the Danube, near Cernavodă, by building a tourist complex estimated at approximately EUR 5 million.
Steps to build the complex have already been initiated by submitting the technical documentation to the Constanța Environmental Protection Agency. The company Rasova Wine SRL aims to draft a Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ) to include a 3.24-hectare plot of land into the buildable area, currently located in the agricultural outskirts of Cernavodă, south of the railway and highway. The site, which is currently free of buildings, is located along the road parallel to the Danube cliff. The owners are considering accessing funds to finance the future hotel.
In 2024, the company Rasova Wine SRL reported a turnover of approximately EUR 2.99 million, up 9.40% compared to the previous year. The recorded net profit was around EUR 11.2 thousand, with the activity supported by 47 employees.
