IL TACCHINO Invests over EUR 1 million in Expansion

15 October 2026

Romanian restaurant chain IL TACCHINO opened a new location in the Piața Floreasca complex following an investment of nearly EUR 300,000. The new 180 sqm space marks the start of an accelerated expansion phase in Bucharest, backed by over EUR 1 million, through which the chain aims to reach 6 active units by the end of November.

The current expansion phase includes opening four new locations and relocating the central kitchen to an expanded facility. This capital allocation comes on top of nearly EUR 2 million already invested in the pilot phase, operational infrastructure, and the initial two restaurants in Piața Victoriei and DN1 Value Centre.

The expansion includes formats tailored to each targeted area: in Sema Parc, the brand will occupy over 500 sqm; in Pipera Business Tower, it will open a unit catering to the office and residential segments; and in Marketta Food Hall (One Gallery, formerly Hala Ford), it will operate through an urban lifestyle format.
