Polski Holding Nieruchomości (PHN) has appointed Ziemowit Borowczak as Vice-President of its Management Board responsible for investments, effective 2 November 2026. The decision was made by the company’s Supervisory Board on 28 October, following a selection process to fill the position at the Warsaw-listed property group.
The appointment ends a temporary management arrangement under which Supervisory Board member Cezary Nowosad had been assigned responsibilities relating to the investment function. Borowczak will assume the position as a permanent member of the Management Board, although PHN has not announced any accompanying changes to its investment strategy or organisational structure.
Borowczak has worked in construction, property management and local government administration for more than 20 years. His professional experience includes overseeing building projects, managing municipal property portfolios and supervising investment expenditure in both commercial and public-sector organisations.
Since July 2024, he has served as Vice-President of Chemobudowa-Kraków, where his responsibilities have included construction contracts, property development and investment management. His work has involved the coordination of construction projects and oversight of operational activities associated with the company’s development business.
Between 2022 and 2024, Borowczak was Director of Gdańskie Nieruchomości, the organisation responsible for administering municipal property in Gdańsk. His responsibilities included building maintenance, renovation programmes, investment projects and the management of properties requiring conservation or restoration work.
Earlier appointments included Deputy Mayor of Sanok, First Deputy Mayor of Ostrów Wielkopolski and Director of Municipal Management at Poznań City Hall. These positions involved local infrastructure, property administration and public investment. He has also held management and supervisory roles in municipal enterprises. Borowczak holds a master’s degree in spatial planning from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
PHN’s activities include the ownership, management and development of property in Poland. Its investment operations involve decisions concerning development expenditure, improvements to existing buildings and the management of capital allocated to property projects. The appointment therefore places Borowczak in a management position connected with the company’s development and investment activities.
The company’s regulatory announcement does not provide details of individual projects that Borowczak will supervise or identify changes to planned investment expenditure. It also contains no announcement of new property acquisitions, disposals or development commitments. The appointment should therefore be viewed as a management change rather than evidence of a revised investment policy.
Borowczak will take up his position at the beginning of November, replacing the temporary arrangement that had been in place for the investment function. Further information about PHN’s development programme and capital allocation priorities will depend on subsequent company disclosures.
