HireRight Expands Katowice Headquarters as Globalworth Secures Lease Renewal

15 October 2026

International employment screening company HireRight has renewed its lease at Silesia Star in Katowice, increasing its office accommodation to approximately 3,300 sqm. The agreement with Globalworth allows the company to remain in a building it has occupied since 2016 while adapting the premises to accommodate its growing operations.

The decision to extend the lease was influenced by the property’s accessibility, parking facilities and range of services, together with the flexibility to reorganise the office space. The planned refurbishment will provide a working environment better suited to the company’s current requirements. Financial details and the duration of the new agreement have not been disclosed.

JLL represented HireRight during negotiations and will also provide technical advice for the refurbishment. Piotr Gawlik Law Firm supported the legal aspects of the transaction. The agreement was concluded following approximately three months of negotiations.

Silesia Star offers more than 29,000 sqm of office accommodation in central Katowice, close to the city’s Culture Zone and major transport connections. The complex provides landscaped terraces, relaxation areas, childcare facilities and infrastructure for cyclists and electric vehicle users.

Environmental performance remains an important feature of the property. Silesia Star holds BREEAM In-Use v6 certification at Outstanding level, with a score of 87.2%. According to Globalworth, the building uses electricity sourced entirely from renewable energy and incorporates waste management measures. It has also received accessibility certification from Poland’s Integration Foundation.

The transaction reflects the importance of retaining established occupiers in Poland’s regional office markets. For businesses with existing operations, renewing a lease can offer an opportunity to modernise their workplace without the costs and disruption associated with relocation. For property owners, accommodating changing tenant requirements can help maintain occupancy and reduce potential vacancy.

Katowice remains an established location for international business services, supported by its workforce, transport infrastructure and modern commercial properties. As companies reassess their office requirements, the ability to provide adaptable accommodation and reliable building services continues to influence leasing decisions.

For Globalworth, the agreement secures the continued presence of a longstanding international tenant while increasing the space occupied within its Katowice portfolio. The renewal also illustrates how building quality, environmental performance and active property management can contribute to tenant retention in a competitive office market.
