PRIMESTAR reshapes senior management to support hotel expansion in Poland and DACH

PRIMESTAR Group is reorganising its senior management as the hospitality company prepares to expand its hotel portfolio across Germany, Austria and Poland. The changes strengthen its finance, development, asset management and operational functions, with Poland identified as an important market for future growth.

Anke Bogansky will take responsibility for finance and human resources as managing director from 1 October 2026. Previously serving as the group’s CFO, she has recently been involved in introducing AI-based reporting processes and will continue overseeing the development of the company’s financial systems alongside her wider management responsibilities.

The development team will be strengthened from 1 November when Björn Wilkens joins PRIMESTAR from German property developer BECKEN. As managing director responsible for development and asset management, he will oversee new project opportunities and transactions. His mandate will include growing PRIMESTAR’s Polish portfolio as well as expanding the company’s June hotel concept.

Operational responsibilities are also being consolidated. Martin Gotschewski, who has worked with PRIMESTAR since 2023, will become Head of Operations and an authorised company representative from October, bringing hotel operations and technology under the same management structure. Ronald Giese will remain responsible for the commercial side of the business, with room-rate growth continuing to be one of his principal areas of focus.

The appointments indicate that PRIMESTAR is building additional management capacity ahead of its next expansion phase. Combining development and asset management under one executive while integrating operations with technology should give the group a more coordinated structure for sourcing, opening and managing additional hotels.

For the Central European hospitality market, the emphasis on Poland is particularly relevant. PRIMESTAR’s decision to dedicate part of its development strategy to the country points to further competition for hotel projects and operating opportunities as international and regional hospitality groups continue to expand beyond Germany and Austria.
