JUNiCKE steps up search for logistics properties in German regional markets

29 September 2026

German property investor JUNiCKE is looking to expand its logistics and light-industrial portfolio, targeting existing properties and development sites across Hamburg, Hannover, Braunschweig, Berlin, Wolfsburg, Magdeburg, Halle/Leipzig and the Kassel/Göttingen region. The company is primarily seeking existing assets with at least 5,000 sqm of lettable space and development sites starting from around 8,000 sqm.

The strategy extends beyond fully stabilised warehouses. JUNiCKE is also considering properties where rental income can be increased, additional development capacity created or alternative uses introduced. Sale-and-leaseback transactions with companies seeking to release capital from owner-occupied real estate are also part of its acquisition programme, with good transport connections and established occupier demand among the main location requirements.

The expansion follows recent investment activity, including the acquisition earlier this year of a logistics property in Hildesheim’s Bavenstedt industrial area. The asset provides almost 7,200 sqm of usable space on a site exceeding 21,700 sqm and includes further development potential. Managing partners Julius Hendrich Junicke and Carl Jobst Junicke are also expected to use the upcoming Expo Real in Munich to identify additional investment opportunities.

JUNiCKE’s search highlights continued investor interest in functional logistics and light-industrial properties beyond Germany’s largest core markets. Regional industrial centres with established occupier bases, motorway access and opportunities to improve or expand existing assets remain potential targets as investors look for value outside the most competitive logistics locations.
