Hagag Acquires the Project of the Largest Data Center in Romania

15 September 2026

Real estate investor Hagag has signed a contract to acquire the Romanian company Npower Solar Energy, which will develop the largest data center in Romania so far, with a capacity of between 120–125 MW IT (168–175 MW) in southern Romania.

However, the transaction is conditional. The project company has committed to obtaining the technical approval for grid connection (ATR) within 4 months from the date of signing the binding agreement that follows this memorandum, and in the next 12 months the project must reach the “ready-to-build” stage with all the necessary approvals. Also, the transaction will fail if within 12 months Hagag does not secure an end customer for the project or if, previously, it will be reasonably established that such a customer will not be identified during this period.

The total value of the transaction is EUR 67.5 million, which will be paid in installments, depending on the progress of the project.
