The Grigore family, which owns the real estate broker Sud Rezidenţial, has bought a plot of land suitable for the development of a data center from General Turbo, a division of the former giant IMGB.
The owners of the real estate agency Sud Rezidenţial, are now reselling the land with the plan to develop a data center or AI Computing Campus, in the context in which it already has an initial electrical capacity of around 20 MW. The plot, with an exact area of 50,561 square meters, is being put up for sale at a price of around EUR 15 million.
“There is potential for energy expansion estimated at around 50–60 MW or even more, depending on the technical solution and the necessary approvals. We are already in discussions for the sale of the land for the development of a data center,” said Cătălin Grigore, one of the Sud Rezidenţial associates. Romania currently has operational data centers with a capacity of about 100 MW, according to industry estimates.
