Winmarkt Sells Turda Mall to City Hall

5 March 2026

The Italian group Imobiliare Grande Distribuzione (IGD), which entered the local market 17 years ago by taking over the Winmarkt shopping center network, is selling a new mall in Romania, the one in Turda, with the ultimate goal of selling the entire local business.

The property was purchased by Turda City Hall as part of a conversion and redevelopment project of the area by the city administration, which also involves the Winmarkt commercial structure. The building, spread over three floors, is fully rented and hosts 9 tenants. The total sale price is approximately EUR 500,000.

The mall in Slatina was sold last month, after the one in Tulcea was sold at the end of last year. The company plans to use the money obtained to reduce its debts.
