The project for the first hotel operated by the international Accor group in Cluj-Napoca, an ibis Styles on Calea Baciului 2-4, has accumulated significant delays. Although originally announced to open in April 2025, the investment is only at the urban planning approval stage.
The beneficiaries are the Amera Group and Premiot Amera Hotels, which have signed a management agreement with Accor. Although the partnership with Accor was announced as far back as 2023, the project has not progressed on schedule. Urban planning procedures, permits and public consultations have extended deadlines and the construction site has not yet started.
Thus, the opening of ibis Styles Cluj will be pushed back by at least two years from the original plan.
