Romanian builder Concelex has won the contract for the modernization of Arad Penitentiary, a project worth RON 49.3 million (excluding VAT).
The works, which will take place over a period of four years, cover a total area of almost 18,000 square meters and target four detention pavilions and a technical building.
“The modernization of the prison infrastructure is an essential component of a functional and humane detention system,” said Cătălin Vişan, deputy general director of Concelex.
On the installation side, the company will fully replace the water and sewage networks, restore the electrical circuits, install LED lighting fixtures and modernize the thermal systems, including the existing central heating system.
